I’ve been concentrating on working with a loose style. I tend to try to paint too precise (whether or not you can see it) and letting go of “it has to look real” is difficult for me. The blue sky in the above painting looks especially bright, and is not captured well in my photo

I haven’t painted a lot of people, but I think I do okay. ) You can’t go wrong with bunnies. Well, *I* can’t go wrong with bunnies. Are you having a good weekend? Lovely weather here, finally. Seemed like one of the longest winters ever. The flowers are starting to bloom.

When I saw this little bun being shared in photo form by Les Liddle, of course my heart skipped a beat and I had to paint him. What a little sweet-pea, all innocence and joy. I added in the flowers to keep him grounded. A perfect little piece for a child’s room, don’t you think?

 A sweet little chickadee adds a touch of whimsy to a formal flower arrangement. I reworked the background color, changing it from gray to yellow. I bought a lot of these wood boards to use just before the price of wood started skyrocketing. When I went to replenish my supply, I saw they are being hit by the price increase. Believe me, I am not pricing these higher than canvas paintings just because I think I deserve a raise–the wood
