2 cups of water
1 package kool-aid for color and smell
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
4 tablespoons cream of tartar
Place all of the above in a saucepan (preferably non-stick) and cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes. The soupy batter will quickly become tacky like a ball of bread dough, and start pulling away from the pan sides. You will know when it is done.
This makes enough dough for five children, and can easily be halved or even quartered if you don’t want so much. Keep in a covered container, and so far it’s lasted a week to no detriment.
