I don’t think I’ve seen a single honey or bumble bee yet this year. Seems like even fewer wasps, too. But lots of butterflies. The hydrangeas deer are not eating the hydrangeas. They’re stripping my baby cherry trees, though. Last year none of my hydrangeas bloomed (I think the extreme cold set everything back), but this year half are. I read that you shouldn’t over-fertilize hydrangeas because it encourages leaf growth but not flowers.
You have so many different butterflies. We only see just the yellow ones.
Are the deer eating the hydrangea? Mine aren’t blooming yet.
