There’s a lot of “wow” factor to this one in person. I will be sorry when it sells. The reference photo I worked from was taken by Gary Odell, of wild horses in–I think–Arizona. The blue and yellow complementary colors create a lot of drama. He was a model at the fair last year, and this kind of back-lighting usually makes me walk on by because painting these extreme shadows is daunting.
