crafty: fabric bucket

I’m always trying to find ways to corral all the toys around here. Just. Too. Many. Toys.

So I had some leftover dot fabric from a chair seat re-do, and made a fabric bucket. The inside is lined with poplin, from a project which never came to fruition.

I wish I had pre-washed the fabrics, because I just know all that red is going to bleed the first time it hits the washer. Oh well.

The outer fabric is decorator weight, and I used two layers of fleece as the stabilizer inside to give it extra, ah, stability. Using one layer of quilt batting inside this bucket would have resulted in a too-floppy structure. I think Teje has a great tutorial on the basics of a fabric bucket, so I’m not going to reinvent the wheel and write my own!
