working on the quilt made from thrifted sheets

This is coming together faster than any other quilting project I’ve worked on, probably because I’ve learned not to cut out each square individually, but sew strips together to save time, then cut out one section (3 squares) of a nine-patch, and sew up the sections. I think this is going to be a crazy nine patch, meaning I make up all the nine-patches and then cut those into quarters and then re-assemble them into the quilt top. The color scheme is okay, but I don’t like the addition of yellow as much as I thought I would. I need to make 10 more squares, then sew it all together.

There’s about 9 different fabrics used, although my closeup makes some of them look very under-represented. I had two more green sheets, but decided not to use them because I thought the heavy depth of color would be a detraction.
