I hope breaking down the quilts into themed posts here is helpful. Maybe when someone searches in the future, it will be easier than looking at every. single. post. Or that’s the idea, anyway.
Samplers showcase different patterns within the same quilt; each square is pieced differently. It’s a good way to learn new favorites, and not get bogged down making a whole quilt out of style it turns out you hate.
Neutral colors seem to be the favorite.
The bright colors in this one make it look like it’s intended for a youngster.
And I bet someone said, “My favorite colors are pink and green. And yellow.” And the quilt maker thought, “Done!”
This one looks vaguely patriotic, and wow there are a lot of different star patterns!
