We picked out some children’s books at the library today, and tucked inside one of them was a Christmas card with a child’s writing: “This is not a joke. We are thankful for our blessings and want to pass it along. Merry Christmas.” And there was $5.
Awww.
I didn’t get the words exactly right (can’t find the card now), but that was the gist of it. I felt sort of bad that it’s such a sweet gesture, but we don’t really need the $5 right now. Because, you know, sometimes that $5 means a whole lot. So I think I’ll have to repeat the gesture and let someone else find it.
It’s an awfully sweet thought, though, and a good message to teach the kids.
That is really neat! I’d pass it along too. Very cool!
